In the world of e-mail communication, which is extensively used by Aspasia, why do we need an alternative? It comes down to making life easier for the customer and hence offering a higher level of customer service.
For some people collecting and sending e-mail can be a laborious affair - it depends on a whole host of factors ranging from their equipment to their ISP (Internet Service Provider). Additionally, customers may not always be at a machine that has access to their personal mailbox. They may be at work, in a hotel, etc. where Internet access may be easily available but not necessarily their ability to use their e-mail system.
Aspasia's customer login facility overcomes this by providing a mailbox whereby customers and negotiators can communicate freely and easily. There is no delay in transmission, messages are available to be read the moment they are sent. When a message arrives at a negotiator's desk his screen will display an indication that a new message has arrived and who it is from.
The member of staff and the customer can conduct a two way dialogue in real time unlike traditional e-mail. Obviously traditional e-mail can be used as well if so desired.
The messages and their content form part of the agent/customer dialogue which is automatically recorded in the database.
